About The Position

This position reports to the Director of Student Development and provides professional administrative support to the middle school building staff and community. It also responds to a variety of inquiries from internal and external sources while maintaining a confidential and efficient working environment.

Requirements

  • Office Experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional administrative support to the middle school building staff and community.
  • Respond to a variety of inquiries from internal and external sources.
  • Maintain a confidential and efficient working environment.
  • Coordinate teacher subbing needs.
  • Complete substitute forms for the business office.
  • Verify attendance, ensuring all absence and tardy entries are updated and accurate.
  • Collect, account for, and deposit all monies.
  • Produce schoolwide communication, such as newsletters, annual school calendars, and in-house calendars.
  • File student documents, information, and respond to schools that are requesting records.
  • Assist with the student enrollment process.
  • Collect, sort, and distribute mail; coordinate and send school mailings.
  • Assist with special events and projects throughout the year: Open House, Science Camp, retreats, marketing events, honors night, etc.
  • Complete purchase orders.
  • Coordinate and place orders for school and staff supply needs.
  • Contact service representatives for facilities needs, telephones, and copy machines when needed.
  • Create and send communications: paging system, Parent Reach, newsletters, email, etc.
  • Daily update the middle school newsletter and check the master school calendars for discrepancies.
  • Manage phone calls, drop-ins, and appointment arrivals for the administrative team and staff.
  • Work with SPO in coordinating special events, teacher lunches, and break room snacks.
  • Attend professional development in-service days.
  • Collection and documentation of medical paperwork.
  • Track and distribute student medications as needed and instructed by parents.
  • Oversees the lost and found.
  • Support the school's broader program by attending extracurricular activities when possible.
  • Participates in the end-of-year closing of the school process, such as inventorying of textbooks, furniture, equipment, etc.
  • Treats all school-owned technology (hardware and software) with respect, care, professionalism, and in accordance with the Technology Use Agreement.
