Requirements

  • 3+ years of construction casualty underwriting experience preferred; prior commercial carrier experience required
  • Proven success building internal and external partnerships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
  • High energy, entrepreneurial mindset, and resilience
  • Valid driver’s license (company pool car may be provided)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales and underwriting process for complex construction accounts.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with agents and brokers, ensuring The Hartford is their carrier of choice.
  • Drive strategic planning and operational excellence.
  • Manage account stewardship and renewal strategies.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across the team.
