About The Position

The Middle/High Pathway Coordinator (MHPC) is responsible for effectively curating and executing Dream Center Evansville’s (DCE) Middle and High School Pathway programs and initiatives within the Cradle to Career Continuum. This role involves leading program development, managing out-of-school activities, fostering school partnerships, supporting spiritual development, leading staff, engaging families, managing data, participating in intervention strategies, and driving recruitment and outreach efforts to ensure program capacity and student success.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and expertise in group presentations.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Google Suites preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to drive students in any DCE vehicle (including 15-passenger van).
  • Criminal background check must show no conviction of a felony or misdemeanor crime including, but not limited to abuse, drugs or alcohol, neglect, theft or fraud.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in Middle/High School programs.
  • Experience working with individuals and families in low socio-economic situations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Social Work, or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and curation of programs and initiatives to ensure the success of middle and high school students, focusing on achieving milestones like middle grade math proficiency and high school completion, and preparing them for college and career readiness.
  • Develop and manage out-of-school programming for middle and high school students, including overseeing program structure, activities, student, staff, and volunteer management, and resource availability.
  • Create opportunities for students to thrive socially, emotionally, and spiritually, ensuring they believe they have promise, and foster an environment where students are academically supported, encouraged, and challenged.
  • Cultivate, strengthen, and sustain strategic partnerships with schools attended by Promise students, building relationships with administrators, counselors, and teachers to support student success and advocate for student needs.
  • Lead and grow DCE's student success coaching model to ensure students have a future-forward mindset.
  • Develop an environment within the pathway programs that nourishes each participant’s walk with Christ, including sharing the gospel, leading Bible studies, discipling students, and modeling Christ-like behavior.
  • Train, schedule, evaluate, and provide leadership development for all Middle and High Pathway staff, recruit new staff as necessary, and build a staff culture that promotes retention and organizational excellence.
  • Engage with the families of DCE’s middle and high school students to ensure holistic support, regularly communicate program information and student progress, and help maintain a positive Promise Partnership.
  • Collect and manage relevant data for students in the middle and high pathway programs, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accessibility for the Pathways team, and provide regular reports on strategic action goals and outcome data.
  • Participate in community response to intervention practices, discussing student progress, coordinating services, providing data and insights, and ensuring strategic partners can participate ethically.
  • Collaborate with DCE staff to identify prospective participants for the Cradle to Career Continuum and lead efforts to maintain full enrollment capacity for the middle and high pathway.
  • Partner with the Family Development Team in cultivating new relationships with families and participate in creative outreach strategies, including door-knocking and recruitment events.
