About The Position

Modernize (a QuinStreet division) is simplifying home improvement by inspiring motivated homeowners and connecting them with qualified contractors. With 20 years of experience in online lead generation for the $500 billion home improvement market, they are launching a new brand and products. They are seeking sharp, motivated individuals to join their growing team in a dynamic startup environment with an open floor plan that encourages collaboration. The office is newly renovated and located in the heart of downtown with views of the capital and skyline. This role is for ambitious, results-driven Mid-Market Sales Executives who excel at building relationships, creating opportunities, and closing deals in a fast-paced setting. It's ideal for early-career sales professionals with a foundation in business development, prospecting, or sales who are ready for more responsibility. The position offers the chance to build a pipeline, develop consultative selling skills, and work directly with decision-makers, contributing to the organization's growth. The first year focuses on pipeline development, industry expertise, and client relationship building, with significant earning potential through recurring and stacked commission opportunities as the book of business grows.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, or customer-facing roles.
  • Open to high-performing BDRs/SDRs looking to transition into a closing role.
  • Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging prospects through multiple communication channels.
  • Ability to learn and communicate complex products, services, and value propositions.
  • Strong curiosity and discovery skills with the ability to understand customer needs and business objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through.
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and driven to achieve results.
  • Coachable with a growth mindset and willingness to embrace feedback.
  • Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar sales tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage potential customers through outbound calling, email, LinkedIn, and other sales channels.
  • Own the sales process from prospecting through close, including discovery, presentations, proposal development, and contract execution.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer business goals, challenges, and growth opportunities.
  • Build relationships with business owners and decision-makers to identify opportunities where our solutions can create value.
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations and effectively communicate ROI and business impact.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and activity tracking within CRM systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals.
  • Continuously develop industry knowledge and sales skills to improve performance and effectiveness.
