Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in Health IT testing or related software testing roles.
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies; experience with Agile tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Familiarity with requirements traceability and defect tracking tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and functional teams.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Tier 2 clearance for the Department of Defense.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ISTQB Agile Tester, or equivalent certifications.
  • Exposure to automated test tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber) and performance test tools (e.g., JMeter).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and continuous integration/continuous testing.
  • Experience supporting federal Health IT programs, especially ACAT I or III programs.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or ITSM processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day testing activities across development and sustainment test events.
  • Collaborate with senior test team members and the Government Test Manager to contribute to test planning, including scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables.
  • Assist in analyzing requirements, designs, and architecture documents to define test objectives and design comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data to validate functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Document test results and track issues and defects using test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and test readiness reviews.
  • Communicate testing status, risks, and issues effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Support test data management and environment readiness activities in coordination with configuration and release teams.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Gain familiarity with performance and automated testing tools, supporting senior staff on advanced test strategies.
