About The Position

The Per Diem Mid Level Provider position at Granite County Medical Center is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive medical services, including diagnosis, treatment, procedures, therapy, and prescription of medicines, across the Rural Health Clinic, Hospital, and Emergency Room. The position requires the ability to work well under pressure, establish priorities, adapt to change, and work with patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, creative, positive, patient, organized, assertive, conscientious, and present a professional appearance. Flexibility in working hours and willingness to cover colleagues' PTO are essential. On-call hours, including shared weekends and holidays, are required with a less than 30-minute response time for inpatient rounds and ER coverage. Proficiency in the ER and comfort working independently without a physician on-site are crucial.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant with current licensure in good standing in the State of Montana.
  • ACLS and PALS Certification required.
  • Experience in a hospital, clinic, or emergency room setting of at least 2 years.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of medical practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must meet all health requirements required by law.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, establish priorities, and adapt to change.
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages, infant to geriatric.
  • A self-motivated, creative, and positive personality.
  • Ability to work with staff, family members, and community.
  • Possess patience, good organizational skills, assertiveness, and be a conscientious person.
  • Present a professional appearance.
  • Proficient in the ER and comfortable working independently with no physician on site.

Responsibilities

  • Provision of medical services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, procedures, therapy, and prescription of medicines.
  • Serving patients in the Rural Health Clinic, Hospital, and Emergency Room.
  • On-call coverage, including shared weekends and holidays, with a less than 30-minute response time.
  • Conducting rounds on inpatients.
  • Providing ER coverage.
  • Working independently in the ER with no physician on site.
  • Being available for training and required meetings.
  • Covering for colleagues' PTO if needed.
