About The Position

The Mid Level Provider position at Granite County Medical Center is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This role is responsible for providing medical services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, procedures, therapy, and prescription of medicines, across the Rural Health Clinic, Hospital, and Emergency Room. The position requires the ability to work well under pressure, establish priorities, and adapt to change. The provider must be able to work with patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, and collaborate effectively with staff, family members, and the community. A self-motivated, creative, and positive personality is desired, along with patience, good organizational skills, assertiveness, and conscientiousness. The role also requires presenting a professional appearance, being available for training and meetings, and demonstrating flexibility in working hours, including covering colleagues' PTO. On-call duties are mandatory, including shared weekends and holidays, with a response time of less than 30 minutes. This includes inpatient rounds and ER coverage, requiring proficiency and comfort working independently in the ER without a physician on-site.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant with current licensure in good standing in the State of Montana.
  • ACLS and PALS Certification required.
  • Experience in a hospital, clinic, or emergency room setting of at least 2 years.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of medical practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must meet all health requirements required by law.
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages, infant to geriatric.
  • Ability to work with staff, family members, and community.
  • Possess patience, good organizational skills, assertiveness, and be a conscientious person.
  • Proficient in the ER and comfortable working independently with no physician on site.
