Requirements

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Must maintain active licensure and meet continuing legal education requirements
- 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
- Active license to practice law in Texas and/or New Mexico
- Proven courtroom and litigation experience, including depositions and hearings
Nice To Haves
- Trial experience preferred
- Experience with legal case management systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage a docket of active litigation cases from inception through resolution or trial
- Develop and execute case strategies, including discovery plans and motion practice
- Draft, review, and argue pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs, defendants, and experts
- Handle court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Collaborate with pre-litigation teams to transition and evaluate cases for litigation
- Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as needed
- Ensure compliance with all court deadlines and procedural requirements
