About The Position
Custom High-End Architectural Millwork MFG company is searching for a skilled Engineer with Microvellum. Previous Engineering of Custom High-End Woodworking or Architectural Millwork is required. This position can be remote for the right candidate and will report to the Director of Engineering.
Requirements
- Proven ability to meet deadlines & work experience as an Engineer and Microvellum Operator or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD), Microvellum software & Excel.
Nice To Haves
- Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus.
- Good math skills, familiarity with 3D modeling tools, & experience with Revit a plus.
- BSc in Engineering, Architecture or degree from a technical college is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Identify product requirements and designs
- Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
- Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- High Level understand of Microvellum, screen-to-machine, & programming CNC
- Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
- Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team
- Describe production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used)
- Prepare architectural shop/production drawings and work orders
- Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Calculate material requirements
