About The Position

The Microsoft Office 365 Analyst is a member of the Network Services team that maintains the O365 Microsoft content management system, server hardware, and software. This position also serves as the backup to the SharePoint sites and workflows for forms using the O365 content management system.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business or related management/information technology degree.
  • At least three years' experience in Information Technologies, or another related area with experience supporting Office 365 applications.
  • Project management experience implementing and maintaining Office 365 solutions that focus on workflow, document management, and content creation for web-focused business teams.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Security using Active Directory, Azure AD (Active Directory), and Office 365 Online groups.
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and network concepts.
  • Experience in the development of technical and user documentation.
  • Basic scripting and development skills using PowerShell.
  • Demonstrated focus on customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines and high client expectations.
  • Strong analytical, project management, customer service, and team-oriented interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem determination skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, tune, and update the O365 Microsoft environment.
  • Identify, research, recommend, and implement Office 365 solutions and applications such as Teams, Flow, PowerApps, OneDrive, Forms, Bookings, SharePoint, etc.
  • Serve as an IT point of contact regarding new requests related to Microsoft applications and solutions to meet business needs.
  • Stay current on Office 365 changes, updates and new Microsoft releases for Office 365 and related products.
  • Creates user accounts and maintains security levels on databases.
  • Manage Office 365 security administration in collaboration with the Cybersecurity team.
  • Provide system support and maintain uptime as defined within the IT acceptable standards.
  • Analyze nuisance email traffic such as SPAM and PHISHING and provide remedies.
  • Implement and monitor Advance Threat Protocols.
  • Develop, maintain and update Office 365 governance documentation.
  • Provide second level support services to staff, faculty and students for complex, technical and configuration issues related to Office 365 applications.
  • Develop and maintain scripts used to manage\support the Office 365 environment for multiple applications.
  • Perform application maintenance, e.g., system parameters, user permissions, etc.
  • Provides user training and creates end user documentation such as “How To” guides.
  • Provide training to IT support staff on O365 applications to address HD calls; also provide needed training on O365 applications to end users in conjunction with project related implementations.
  • Manage infrastructure servers such as SMTP and other relay servers.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, maintain, and manage the email archive systems; document and manage the E-discovery process.
  • Ensure compliance with license agreements and provide input into contract(s) for the College’s Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and other Microsoft applications.
  • Serves as a backup for the SharePoint content management system managing users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions.
  • Assists with SharePoint workflows for forms using O365 content management system.
  • Schedule and maintain backups for areas of responsibility.
  • Enters and clears service requests in the college’s helpdesk system.
  • Maintains a continuity binder related to each related system.
  • Works closely with outside agencies for technical support.
  • Performs periodic weekend and after hour work.
  • Responds to after hour calls, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
