Microsoft AI & Automation Solutions Architec
About The Position
MetroSys is seeking an experienced Microsoft AI & Automation Solutions Architect to advise, design, and implement AI-powered applications, agents, and business process automation for a financial services organization. This is a hands-on consulting role combining architecture and strategy with actual solution development. The consultant will work with business and technology leaders to identify opportunities for AI and automation, establish Microsoft 365 and Copilot best practices, and build solutions that improve productivity, streamline workflows, and securely leverage organizational data. The ideal candidate has deep experience across Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Microsoft Entra ID, and Intune and understands the security, governance, and compliance requirements of a financial services environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with Microsoft cloud, application, automation, or enterprise architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with: Microsoft 365
- Microsoft 365 Copilot
- Microsoft Copilot Studio
- Power Automate
- Power Apps / Power Platform
- SharePoint Online
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Intune
- Experience building, not just administering, Copilot agents and business automation solutions.
- Experience integrating Microsoft solutions with APIs, connectors, and enterprise data sources.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security, permissions, identity, and data governance.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ability to lead technical discovery sessions and advise executives and business stakeholders.
- Strong documentation, presentation, and customer-facing consulting skills.
- Ability to work remotely during Phoenix, Arizona business hours.
Nice To Haves
- Experience within banking, credit unions, financial services, insurance, or another regulated industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, DLP, information protection, and compliance.
- Experience with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, or custom AI application development.
- Experience with Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 Copilot APIs.
- PowerShell, REST API, JSON, or other development/integration experience.
- Experience establishing enterprise AI governance and responsible AI standards.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications in Azure, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, security, or AI.
Responsibilities
- Assess current business processes and identify high-value opportunities for AI, Copilot, and automation.
- Develop an AI and automation roadmap aligned with business objectives, security requirements, and Microsoft best practices.
- Architect and build custom Microsoft 365 Copilot agents and Copilot Studio agents for business-specific use cases.
- Design automated workflows using Power Automate and Microsoft 365 services.
- Develop business applications and workflow solutions using Power Apps where appropriate.
- Integrate Copilot and automation solutions with SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Connect agents and workflows to internal data sources, APIs, and business applications.
- Develop solutions for use cases such as document processing, approvals, employee support, information retrieval, reporting, compliance workflows, and operational automation.
- Configure knowledge sources, connectors, actions, permissions, and authentication for Copilot solutions.
- Review and optimize the organization's Microsoft 365 Copilot configuration and adoption strategy.
- Advise on Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, endpoint security, Conditional Access, and identity controls as they relate to AI and Microsoft 365.
- Establish governance standards for Copilot, agents, Power Platform, connectors, and organizational data.
- Ensure AI solutions follow appropriate data-loss prevention, least-privilege, security, and compliance practices.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept and transition successful solutions into production.
- Document architectures, workflows, configurations, governance standards, and operational procedures.
- Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to internal IT and business teams.
