Join Draper’s microfabrication facility as a Microfabrication Process Engineer, contributing to the generation and development of concepts in MEMS, photonics, microfluidics, and 3D integration, including interposer and wafer-level packaging concepts. The Microsystems Engineer applies electronic and mechanical engineering knowledge, theory, and methods to research, design, develop, and test MEMS devices and sensors, and works with device, hardware, and software design teams to support overall system development. The role includes designing and developing MEMS devices and sensors, assessing designs with modeling or simulation software, testing and evaluating devices, and developing MEMS production methods and fabrication processes. The engineer analyzes reliability, yield, and failure issues; documents processes and performance; and shares operating experience with designers and other engineers. Experience developing wet-etch processes and managing chemical safety is highly desirable. Applicants selected for the position must obtain and maintain a government security clearance; a Secret clearance is preferred.
