About The Position

This internship focuses on system engineering for microcontrollers, specifically showcasing the capabilities of the latest NXP microprocessors in artificial intelligence and machine learning, with a focus on time series and anomaly detection. The intern will be mentored by senior team members and collaborate with a global team. The role involves managing a project from conception to final presentation, contributing to firmware development, proofs of concept, and enhancing product offerings. Key challenges include building applications, demos, and drivers, developing innovative functions, performing technical feasibility studies, building reference designs, and writing application notes and white papers. The intern will also review reference manuals and contribute to developer guides. This role offers cross-functional interaction with lab technicians and other engineers, providing a comprehensive understanding of engineering office operations.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Must have proficiency in the C language.
  • Must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
  • Experience with embedded Systems on Chip, especially ARM Cortex architecture.
  • Embedded software development and debug experience including one of more of the following: operating systems, device drivers, connectivity stack (802.15.4, BLE, Thread, Zigbee).
  • Experience with embedded software development and debug.
  • Technical writing skills for creating application notes, white papers, and user’s guides / reference manuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning with a focus on time series and anomaly detection.
  • Experience with embedded software development and debug experience including one of more of the following: operating systems, device drivers, connectivity stack (802.15.4, BLE, Thread, Zigbee).

Responsibilities
