About The Position

As a Microbiology Technician, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and safety of raw materials, processes, and products through the execution of microbiological tests, environmental monitoring, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers the opportunity to work with analytical methodologies, validation processes, and quality control activities within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a microbiological laboratory, quality control, or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience in performing microbiological tests and technical documentation of results.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulated quality systems.
• Experience in safe handling of biological, chemical, or potentially hazardous materials.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in environmental monitoring of controlled areas or clean rooms.
• Experience in validation activities or related microbiological processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological tests in accordance with written procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Execute environmental sampling in controlled manufacturing areas to verify compliance with established microbiological standards.
• Conduct compliance audits in production areas and document findings according to current procedures.
• Operate and maintain microbiological laboratory equipment following instructions for use, calibration, and safety.
• Record test results, prepare technical reports, and ensure the integrity of required documentation.
• Manage samples destined for external laboratories in accordance with documented procedures and traceability requirements.
• Review and approve sterilization certificates for final product disposition, according to established criteria.
