About The Position

The Market Route Manager is responsible for full management of micro market accounts. The manager will ensure quality service of micro market customers through analyzing data for profitability of accounts, maintaining good customer relations, modifying route structures, and team building with route drivers. They will drive company-owned vehicles to call on customers or assist with route issues.

Requirements

  • Valid drivers license and approved driving record.
  • Obtain a Class D license upon hire.
  • 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Ability to operate ordering and tracking electronic devices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Visit accounts and clients to maintain good relations and react to any comments, suggestions, or concerns for the purpose of account retention; actively pursues pricing goals
  • Coordinating machine installations, upgrades, and removals in new and existing accounts; performs account location inspections and machine audits to ensure company standards are met.
  • Reviews daily and weekly reports to ensure system integrity, control spoilage rates, monitor accuracy of machine collections.
  • Ensures quality, cleanliness, merchandising, plan-o-gram compliance, customer service and company policies and programs are maintained.
  • Reviews service frequencies to assure maximum sales without jeopardizing customer satisfaction.
  • Schedules and modifies route structure to improve productivity and control overtime compensation.
  • May be required to perform market route driver duties.
  • Schedules regular meetings with Branch Manager and fosters open lines of communication with direct reports; confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of the operation and attend regular staff meetings.
  • Ensure the proper handling of perishable foods and inventory controls both in the field and trucks.
  • Analyzing financial reports to determine profitability and opportunities to improve ROI (PVV).
  • Ensures a safe working environment and communicates company safety policies and goals to employees.
  • Secures necessary vehicles for route service personnel and insures proper maintenance of fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
  • Hires, trains, and develops staff.
