The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all MHFA classes provided by Texana Center. The MHFA Coordinator is responsible for providing HHSC all required documentation for billing reimbursement and for communicating with HHSC regarding all required information including upcoming classes, surveys, online documentation, etc. MHFA Coordinator is responsible for community outreach to local agencies with the goal of providing MHFA classes. In addition, the position is responsible for collaboration with local Education Service Centers to offer and provide MHFA classes to local school districts. Texana Center will train Coordinator in MHFA if not certified and coordinator must maintain the certification. MHFA Coordinator is responsible for developing a regional plan to provide MHFA classes in Texana Center’s catchment area (Fort Bend, Wharton, Waller, Austin, Colorado, and Matagorda counties). The Coordinator will be responsible for preparing and facilitating the training. MHFA classes are typically scheduled Monday- Friday 8:00 - 5:00 but may vary based on need. The MHFA Coordinator must have exceptional customer service skills and exceptional presentation skills. Position will represent the face of Texana with these partnering organizations. The position is based out of Fort Bend County. The position is responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of the agency compliance policy. The position requires travel and accordingly requires a Texas driver's license in good standing and reliable transportation. This position will be responsible for any additional duties as assigned.
