About The Position

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and configuration changes on MH-139 Grey Wolf helicopter avionics, weapons, fire control, and electro-mechanical systems supporting U.S. Air Force Reserve operations. This role supports flightline and depot-level maintenance activities while ensuring aircraft mission readiness and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Military aviation avionics maintenance experience
  • Experience using aviation maintenance documentation, technical manuals, forms, and maintenance databases
  • Experience using specialized avionics maintenance tools and test equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot aircraft electrical and electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs and work in all areas of the helicopter
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including potential future 3rd shift support

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, disassembly, modification, repair, and overhaul of aircraft avionics, weapons, fire control, electro-environmental, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic aircraft systems to isolate and correct faults.
  • Remove, install, test, and maintain integrated weapons systems components, bomb navigation systems, launch/release assemblies, and associated support equipment.
  • Conduct operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, and final system testing on aircraft components and subassemblies both on and off equipment.
  • Execute aircraft configuration changes based on mission requirements.
  • Perform explosive operations including loading, unloading, arming, and safing conventional air munitions and pyrotechnics.
  • Inspect completed maintenance and verify aircraft/components meet flight-worthiness standards.
  • Document maintenance actions, repairs, inspections, modifications, and test results in accordance with military, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize maintenance forms, technical manuals, and computerized maintenance tracking systems.
  • Configure and operate aerospace vehicle bench test equipment and specialized avionics tools.
  • Maintain tool accountability and ensure work areas comply with safety and operational standards.
  • Support and oversee on-the-job training activities for maintenance personnel.
  • Work under general supervision in a dynamic flightline environment supporting rotating shift schedules.
