About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and execution-focused IT Project Manager – Operations to support key technology initiatives across Elior North America. This role will play a critical part in coordinating the transition away from legacy systems while supporting a portfolio of operational IT projects that enable the business to scale. Approximately half of the role will focus on managing the structured retirement of legacy applications as the organization transitions to modern ERP and internal technology platforms. The remaining portion of the role will support IT project coordination across operational initiatives such as new unit openings, site transitions, and enterprise technology deployments. This position requires strong organizational skills, cross ‑ functional coordination, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring projects remain on schedule and aligned with business priorities. This role requires a hands-on project manager who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to coordinate details, solve problems, and drive projects forward from planning through execution.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of project management or project coordination experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field
  • Experience supporting IT projects, technology deployments, or system transitions
  • Strong organizational and project tracking skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience coordinating cross ‑ functional teams across IT, operations, and business stakeholders
  • Ability to manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables across a portfolio of projects
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear updates to project stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and strong problem ‑ solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting ERP implementations or system migrations
  • Experience managing application lifecycle or technology transitions
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms
  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Legacy System Sunset & Technology Transition Coordinate the retirement of legacy applications as the organization transitions to new enterprise platforms, including ERP and internal systems.
  • Partner with application owners, IT teams, and the Operational Excellence team to determine timelines and requirements for sunsetting systems.
  • Develop and maintain transition plans for approximately 130 legacy applications currently scheduled for retirement.
  • Coordinate key activities required for system retirement including data backup, documentation, notifications to vendors or external partners, and technology decommissioning.
  • Track system sunset milestones and ensure all dependencies are addressed prior to retirement.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting on the progress of application sunset initiatives.
  • Operational IT Project Support Support the planning and coordination of IT initiatives tied to new unit openings, closures, and operational changes.
  • Coordinate technology readiness for operational sites, including laptops, point ‑ of ‑ sale systems, cash registers, network equipment, and related hardware.
  • Partner with IT, operations, and support teams to ensure technology requirements are delivered on schedule.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders and ensure teams remain aligned on priorities and deadlines.
  • Assist in identifying project risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • IT Project Portfolio Management Track and manage the IT project portfolio by monitoring project timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
  • Maintain visibility into project status, risks, and dependencies across the IT project pipeline.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to leadership on project progress and milestone completion.
  • Support prioritization of initiatives to ensure alignment with business and technology objectives.
