About The Position

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Incumbent will serve as the manager w/ oversight of day to day building operations for ET&D buildings (internal to the yard and external). Responsibilities will include strategic planning of capacity, coordination w/ Facilities regarding building maintenance, and upkeep. Works in collaboration w/ ET&Ds hiring team, Finance team, and onboarding team as required. Also able to work across divisions w/ Environment, Health & Safety, Talent Acquisiition, IT and Security. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment concerns/repairs, manages trouble tickets and coordinates scheduling maintenance/cleanliness related activities, monitors and reports security violations, implementation of 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize and sustain) and overall safety of the building not limited to content, (e.g., Emergency action plans/procedure updates, fire drills, etc.), assets/equipment, and personnel. Responsible for managing ET&D Facilities Service Requestss, project implementation oversight (e.g., throughput of approved project plans to include building renovations, equipment installation, etc.), and continual walk throughs of the facilities building and grounds (e.g., landscaping oversight). Co-leads the divisions safety task team w/ initiatives that keep personnel safe in a proactive way, sharing and communicating trends in monthly business reviews w/ the VP of ET&D, seeking opportunities to lower injuries/accidents by sharing best practices, understanding trends and data related to safety, and communicates at the executive level when necessary. This candidate has oversight of all ET&D buildings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
