About The Position

Responsible for coordinating the daily clinical operations of the Cardiac Cath and E.P. Labs, and the Cardiac Nursing unit by ensuring and monitoring appropriate staffing levels, inventory management, financial indicators, and customer service standards. Responsible for developing and managing departmental policies, budget preparation and performance, clinical coverage schedules, customer service initiatives and quality/safety projects specific to the Cath and E.P. Labs and the Cardiac Nursing Unit. The cath lab coordinator will provide appropriate clinical patient care for a cardiovascular patient population which includes adult and pediatric patients, as needed. Operates appropriate medical equipment and interacts professionally with customers, physicians and staff.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in state of Florida
  • Master’s degree in Nursing required
  • National nursing certification required within six months of hire
  • Minimum of three to five years professional nursing practice experience required
  • Two years procedural experience in cardiac cath lab or E.P. Lab experience
  • Demonstrates autonomous and accountable nursing practice with knowledge and application of patient care outcomes management
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to influence staff’s knowledge and application of evidence-based practice
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with knowledge and application of advanced professional nursing practice, nursing care delivery models, health care delivery systems, and budgetary process
  • Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
