About The Position

Lead and coordinate the independent auditing compliance of holding company/business platform operations with environmental regulations, laws and permit requirements to ensure environmental RESPECT and regulatory integrity. Monitors and tracks closure of audit findings. Recommends and coordinates training activities to proactively ensure compliance with environmental requirements. Essential function and a key part of the internal controls required to fulfill the environmental portions of financial disclosure and reporting obligations. Identify potential or actual areas of non-compliance through personal on-site inspections and/or coordination of contractors. Prepare accurate and concise reports on the inspection findings along with recommendations for corrective action to management. Mitigate potential civil and criminal liability associated with environmental noncompliance by ensuring that all audit findings are addressed and corrected in a timely fashion. Maintain expert knowledge of requirements imposed by government agencies through extensive research and analysis of the statutes, regulations, licenses and permits. Consult with other members of the environmental services function. Maintain a strong working knowledge on the scientific and technical aspects of various regulatory requirements and how they impact each operating unit.
