  • 7 - 10 years of EHS experience in chip, plating, chemical processing, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of: RCRA LQG requirements RCRA stands for Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
  • OSHA 1910 (LOTO, PPE, Hazard Communication, Machine Guarding, PSM adjacent processes)
  • EPA hazardous waste, air, and water regulation
  • Industrial ventilation and chemical exposure controls
  • Experience managing hazardous waste streams including acids, caustics, heavy metals, solvents, and plating byproducts.
  • Experience with wastewater pretreatment systems, metals removal, and discharge compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Chemical Process Safety — Lead EHS oversight for plating lines, chip wet benches, chemical delivery systems, and hazardous material storage.
  • Hazardous Waste Management (LQG) — Manage all RCRA LQG requirements including waste profiling, satellite accumulation, manifesting, TSDF coordination, biennial reporting, and waste minimization strategies.
  • Environmental Permitting — Maintain and update air permits, wastewater discharge permits, stormwater plans, SPCC, and hazardous materials business plans.
  • Wastewater & Plating Compliance — Oversee pretreatment systems, pH control, metals removal, sampling, and reporting for plating wastewater and chip effluent.
  • Industrial Hygiene — Conduct exposure assessments for acids, solvents, metals, particulates, and process chemicals; recommend engineering controls and ventilation improvements.
  • Incident Investigation — Lead investigations for chemical spills, near misses, equipment failures, and exposure events using structured root cause methodologies.
  • EHS Training — Develop and deliver training for hazardous waste, chemical handling, PPE, emergency response, and process specific hazards.
  • Emergency Response — Maintain emergency response plans for chemical spills, releases, and plating/chip operations; coordinate drills with internal teams and local responders.
  • EHS Auditing — Conduct internal audits of chemical storage, plating operations, hazardous waste areas, and environmental systems; support regulatory inspections.
