About The Position

This position is for an Engineering Manager (MGR ENGINEERING) with Req ID 46860, within the E84 NUC PRP-TST ENG Team at Newport News Shipbuilding. US Citizenship is required. The role is Full-Time, on the 1st shift, and is not eligible for telework. Travel is required up to 10% of the time, and a Final Clearance is required to start. Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) is the largest industrial employer in Virginia, designing, building, and refueling U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and one of two providers of U.S. Navy nuclear submarines. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design.
Master's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
PhD and 4 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Nice To Haves

Strong understanding of ship test planning, validation processes and quality systems.
Prior experience with the VCS Test Program.
Familiarity with VCS Steam and Electric Plant (SEP) systems.
