About The Position

This position leads and develops client facing consultants who use analytics to deliver actionable insights that drive client retention, account growth, and improved healthcare outcomes. This role provides strategic leadership and governance to ensure consistent, scalable, and high quality data delivery, partners with key clients to support executive decision making, and leads strategic initiatives that enhance consulting capabilities, innovation, and organizational impact, including the adoption of AI and advanced analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Business Statistics, Accounting or Finance OR 4 years experience.
  • 5 years experience interfacing with external clients, large employers, brokers, or consultants.
  • 5 years experience in requiring data analysis and information reporting related to healthcare data.
  • 2 years leadership experience.
  • Negotiation, decision-making, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • PC proficiency to include Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Profession designation such as Managed Healthcare Professional (MHP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (C.E.B.S.)
  • Experience in a supervisory/management position.
  • Experience in cost containment consultation.
  • Experience in Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and oversee the functions and activities of the client consulting teams, who serve as the primary point of contact for the informational and consulting needs of HCSC’s larger clients. Consultants are responsible for defining requirements, sourcing, analyzing, and interpreting group data, plan benefits, industry and medical trends, and other relevant factors. The teams regularly engage with client organizations to present insights and recommendations to senior executives and key decision‑makers.
  • Provide strategic oversight of teams responsible for analyzing membership, cost, utilization experience, and product performance across HCSC accounts. Drive cross‑functional collaboration with Underwriting, Actuarial, Medical CACs, Pharmacy CACs, Account Management, and other internal partners to translate complex data into actionable insights, inform enterprise recommendations, and shape benefit and product strategies through ongoing, in‑depth analysis.
  • Lead future‑focused training and development initiatives for benefit consultants to build next‑generation skills in analytics, technology, and strategic consulting.
  • Monitor market dynamics, insurance and underwriting trends, product and network changes, and their impact on enrollment and utilization; actively guide and hold consultants accountable for applying this knowledge to deliver insightful, strategically aligned analyses of account performance.
  • Oversee staffing, budgeting, and performance management for all areas within scope, ensuring resources are aligned with business priorities and service expectations.
