Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Responsibilities: The mission of the NCDHR: National Center for Deaf Health Research (NCDHR) is to promote health and prevent disease with Deaf sign language users and people with hearing loss through community-based participatory research. NCDHR is a division of the URMC Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Past and ongoing projects include the development and deployment of sign language based health risk behavior surveys for use with deaf populations, surveys of attitudes regarding healthcare providers and systems, the development and testing of health promotion interventions in deaf populations, and the design and implementation of clinical trials. This role is a leadership position with research responsibilities. In collaboration with the NCDHR, Director, and with minimal direction and substantial latitude for independent judgment, this role supervises and manages all NCDHR projects. This role will have wide latitude for independent judgment, and will be expected to function independently on a day-to-day basis to support, facilitate, manage and advance all research-related activities for NCDHR. This role is also expected to work in a collegial manner with NCDHR faculty, staff, and community members.
