About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain world-class quality. The operator performs work safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and the Customer 1st strategy. The position provides leadership embodying Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and demonstrates the company's values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong attention to detail.
Effective written communication skills, including legibility.
Basic math skills.
Must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens.
Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Previous food manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Follow safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
Safely operate and maintain the assigned machine and related equipment to meet daily orders.
Complete safety observations when assigned.
Read and follow standard work for the assigned machine and follow all standard work processes.
Verify proper components are at the workstation before beginning a job.
Monitor product to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
Complete the position's “If down, do” list when conditions dictate.
Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and legibly.
Maintain reliable attendance, including overtime as needed.
Keep the work area clean and orderly.
Actively participate in Total Process Control activities.
Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
Be accountable to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
