OPS - Machine Operator - MFG

About The Position

The Machine Operator safely and efficiently operates machines and works in a variety of positions to provide technical and labor support to production areas as needed for facility operations. The role ensures products are ready for customer shipment in accordance with quality and customer specifications. The position works in a production environment with standard equipment and exposure to loud noise, dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles.

Requirements

1–3 years of related job experience.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle varied situations where standardization is limited.
Ability to work independently and with a crew or team.
Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Ability to walk and stand while operating a machine.
Ability to lift, twist, push, pull, and carry items weighing from a few ounces up to 150 pounds, with assistance when needed.
Ability to use pallet jacks or forklifts for skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds, if certified.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machines for each job according to customer specifications and quality requirements, meet internal and external deadlines, and follow safety policies and regulations.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
Participate in the company’s continuous improvement process by identifying ways to improve systems and reduce process costs.
Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, job tickets, procedure manuals, and other written, oral, diagram-based, or schedule-form documents to operate machines.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure jobs are produced and shipped correctly.
Perform other assigned duties, including assisting other departments and working on special projects.
