About The Position

This role involves residing on the shop floor to perform process and quality audits, conduct training, and capture improvements through ECRs and process sheets. The specialist will also review schedules and order preparation, mentor MIT team members, and document issues with PDCA follow-up. Responsibilities include weekly reporting on defects and pareto analysis, coordinating companywide process and 5S audits, and owning prototype and first unit reviews. The role also involves customer order review, nonstandard product preparation, sales order verification, quality inspection integrity, and PDCA follow-up for issues. Additionally, the specialist will address customer satisfaction concerns through various channels, focusing on process audits, training, and documentation improvements.

Requirements

Thorough understanding of manufacturing process and line management.
Thorough understanding of engineering process to create BOM.
Full understanding of business software as relates to inventory and shop floor.
Basic Microsoft office computer application.
Ability to interpret CAD drawings/design.
Ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
Background in trailer manufacturing.
Ability to use tools provided on the shop floor proficiently.
Provide training as required to line/tack leader/PM with regards to assembly methods.
Understand all media of communication.
Must be capable of multi-tasking.
Must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility of the job satisfactorily in accordance with company productivity and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform Process/Quality Audit, Training, Data Collection/Capture improvements via ECR, Process Sheets.
Review schedule & order preparation.
Mentor, Train, Coach MIT team members through formalized process audit/scoring activities.
Follow up Documentation of issues & PDCA follow up, communication & cross functional team participation.
Weekly report out on EoL defects/SRO pareto by Supervised area.
Coordinate, score, and follow up on companywide process audit / 5S Workplace Audit.
Own Prototype & First Unit Review.
Review Customer Order / Sales Order.
Prepare and follow up on Nonstandard product & process.
Verify Sales Order vs JBOM vs CBOM.
Ensure Quality Inspection integrity.
Address Voice of Customer, Customer satisfaction concerns via Sales, Warranty and other channels.
