About The Position

As a CNC Programmer & ME Tech, you will bridge the gap between engineering and production. You will be responsible for setting up, programming and optimizing CNC blanking and forming operations to produce high-quality components and tooling. This position is responsible for developing and writing final product assembly instructions, entering basic process routings, and supporting the transition of new assigned products from engineering concepts to final production processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of CNC programming and setup experience in a dynamic manufacturing/job shop environment.
  • Expert knowledge of CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, Creo) and G-code.
  • Ability to interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical documents using strong geometry and trigonometry skills.
  • Proven understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and process flow optimization.
  • Associate’s degree in engineering technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate effectively across both engineering and production teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific experience with Trumpf or Amada software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement complex blanking and forming programs using Trumpf TruTops Boost, TruTops 600, Amada Blank and Dr. Abe software.
  • Determine optimal cutting paths, speeds, and feed rates to maximize productivity.
  • Create nesting plans across multiple part families to maximize sheet utilization and minimize material waste.
  • Analyze time, motion, and machine data to identify bottlenecks and improve production flow.
  • Assist in the development of PFMEA and Lean methodologies.
  • Select correct tooling for blanking/forming and provide hands-on support for machine set-ups.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues directly on the shop floor.
  • Conduct simulations, test runs and prototype builds.
  • Use precision tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify parts that meet strict engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain organized program libraries, update SOPs, and manage production work instructions, runners, and routings.
  • Develop initial manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Promote quality, identify and resolve problems daily when supporting Engineering and Production teams on the shop floor.
  • Provide guidance and training to machine operators on program execution and safety standards.
