About The Position

The Mezzanine Generalist supports warehouse operations by helping keep warehouse automation systems moving and recovering faults. The role involves retrieving, moving, and stacking merchandise, monitoring system performance, and helping clean debris and spills resulting from faults. This is a fast-paced, active role on a team supporting distribution operations. The position is based at 4875 N Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406, and pays $18 per hour. The night schedule is either Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday, from 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. (listed as 6pm–4:30pm in the posting). The work environment may involve grocery dry goods at approximately 50°–90°.

Requirements

One or more years of experience operating material handling equipment.
Strong sense of safety and ability to follow standard safety procedures.
Team-oriented outlook and a passion for helping others.
Desire to work with a team supporting causes that positively impact communities.
Ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
Meet attendance, initiative, productivity, quality, safety, and values expectations.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, pull, lift, and pivot for up to 90% of the shift; walk on various surfaces; frequently lift products weighing 1–60 pounds or more, including from floor to overhead; work on multiple levels of varying height; and safely handle sharp objects such as box cutting tools.

Responsibilities

Support efficient warehouse functions involving retrieving, moving, and stacking merchandise.
Use the warehouse automation computer system to monitor performance and detect faults.
Assist the Sanitation department with cleaning debris and spills resulting from faults.
Follow material handling equipment safe operating procedures and standard safety procedures.
