About The Position

As a Metrology Technician I at ICON, you will perform advanced calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements that support clinical research initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site position in Whitesboro, New York.

Requirements

• Associate degree in science preferred, or a high school diploma with 6 months to 1 year of relevant laboratory experience.
• Experience in calibration or metrology within a laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of measurement principles and regulatory requirements.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance in metrology activities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in documentation and data analysis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment in laboratories.
• Update the calibration schedule and equipment lists as work is performed.
• Monitor equipment, including freezers, refrigerators, pipettes, balances, water systems, thermometers, weights, ovens, temperature and humidity monitors, and the REES Environmental system.
• Act as an escort for approved vendors performing required external calibration.
• Review calibration notebooks according to applicable SOPs and procedures.
