About The Position

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc., is a global leader in chemical solutions for the semiconductor industry. This role is based at their Mesa, Arizona facility. The Metrology R&D Chemist will be responsible for developing and implementing new advanced Quality Control (QC) metrologies, providing technical support for internal and external taskforce activities, supporting new product development, AMLC material characterization, and assisting the production QC team to enhance overall metrology and quality systems processes. Requirements

• BA/BS in a Chemical related or other Physical Science discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in the semiconductor field or in a R&D/production laboratory environment.
• Ability to effectively manage activities amidst an environment of changing and often competing priorities.
• Good communication skills within different functional groups.
• Ability to lead and direct the work of others.

Nice To Haves

• Fundamental instrumentation and analytical skills experience preferred – GC/GCMS, IC/ICMS, HPLC/UPLC/LCMS, GRAA, ICP/OES/MS, FTIR, UV-Vis, Electrochemical and wet chemistry techniques.

Responsibilities

• Developing statistically and technically sound analytical test methods for use in the QC production environment.
• Characterizing existing chemical portfolio and new emerging chemistries with advisement.
• Selecting and establishing appropriate Long Term Stability monitors (LTS) and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and conducting associated training.
• Characterizing raw material, intermediates, and various aspects of the supply chain using standard testing.
• Guided advancement of current metrology capabilities through focused pursuit of new technologies to hit performance targets.
• Participating in global alignment activities of quality control processes and procedures.
• Directed participation in customer-initiated projects, which may include process/product excursions, taskforce activities, quality system improvements, and continuous improvement efforts, including associated roadmap generation and adherence.
• Effectively self-managing and communicating activities, data collection, and conclusions, both verbally and in writing, for management review.
