About The Position

The Metrology Intern supports the Metrology team with administrative assistance and exposure to laboratory work. The internship provides hands-on experience with metrology lab processes and quality systems operations, while developing skills in data management, quality systems documentation, and attention to detail.

The intern collaborates with cross-functional teams on Metrology initiatives and projects, contributes to a safe and inclusive workspace, and is expected to incorporate Promega’s six Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles into daily work. The role also requires understanding and complying with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to the business.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in a discipline related to data management, quality systems, or operations, such as Metrology, Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, and ability to adapt to and leverage emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, automation, and collaboration.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with laboratory equipment and ERP software.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA and ISO and their application in a manufacturing setting.
