  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to convey technical ideas efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final metrology and inspections on target components and assemblies using optical microscopes, white light interferometers, and laser confocal microscopes to verify sub-micron specifications.
  • Work independently and coordinate with target fabrication engineers, assemblers, and machinists in a fast-paced environment to meet production deadlines.
  • Record process data in laboratory notebooks and digital spreadsheets, analyze data using standard statistical methods, and prepare quality assurance documentation.
  • Write standard operating procedures for metrology and fabrication processes and root cause investigation reports, and train team members in executing them.
  • Recognize and report out-of-specification parts or operational equipment issues, assist with diagnosis, and propose and develop metrology methods for first-of-a-kind samples.
