About The Position

Join our team supporting Littoral Combat Ship Squadron TWO (LCSRON TWO) in Mayport, FL. The Metrics Business Analyst will support data collection, interpretive metrics, process improvement, and leadership reporting across maintenance, readiness, sustainment, and personnel training business lines. The role requires strong business analysis, Microsoft Office, Access, SharePoint, and SQL skills, with the ability to translate operational data into clear reports, dashboards, and executive-level briefings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited United States university or equivalent military or commercial experience in business, analysis, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of specific experience in business management and analysis, including experience with Access, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, and similar business analysis applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel, with emphasis on preparing and presenting executive-level PowerPoint briefings.
  • Ability to gather, assemble, analyze, and interpret facts; draw conclusions; develop valid findings; and communicate recommendations in briefings, papers, reports, and dashboards.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work directly with operational stakeholders and technical personnel.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Ability to work onsite at Mayport, FL.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Navy, Marine Corps, DoD, shipboard readiness, maintenance, logistics, or training environments.
  • Experience with operational metrics, dashboarding, process improvement, Power BI, Power Apps, or Power Automate.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with LCSRON TWO leadership, Department Heads, the Chief of Staff, and Subject Matter Experts to identify business needs, data requirements, process gaps, and reporting priorities.
  • Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret data related to Preventative Maintenance Availabilities (PMAV), Operational Availability (Ao), Material Availability (Am), Train to Qualify (T2Q) replacement Sailors, maintenance execution, and other operational requirements.
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative reports, charts, graphs, ranked lists, cycle-time analyses, and other products that support management decisions and senior leadership briefings.
  • Use Microsoft Access, SharePoint, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and related business analysis tools to support data collection, reporting, and process improvement activities.
  • Assist in identifying redundant data calls, spreadsheet-based workflows, and manual processes that can be streamlined, standardized, or transitioned into more manageable database-enabled workflows.
  • Support data cleanup, report definition, metric development, and user coordination for existing and new databases supporting maintenance, readiness, and personnel tracking requirements.
  • Prepare and present high-level PowerPoint briefings, reports, and decision-support materials for leadership, Department Heads, and stakeholder working groups.
  • Participate in recurring status meetings, working groups, and impromptu coordination sessions to provide updates, recommendations, action status, and barriers to success.
  • Maintain a list of assigned and completed work, including task descriptions, original expected due dates, actual delivery dates, status, and significant accomplishments for monthly reporting.
