About The Position
The purpose of this temporary position is to provide service for customers with the City of Concord by reading water and electric meters.
Requirements

- Recordkeeping principles
- Basic mathematical concepts
- Safe work practices
- City and county streets.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
- Applicants must meet the City’s criteria for an acceptable driving record.
- standing, fine dexterity, walking, lifting, carrying, sitting, reaching, handling, kneeling, vision, foot controls, bending, crouching, hearing, twisting, talking.
- Medium Work: Exerting 20 - 50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly.
- Incumbents may be subjected to extreme temperature, wetness and/or humidity, respiratory hazards, noise and vibration, physical hazards.
Responsibilities
- Reads water and electric meters.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of records and/or logs related to daily activities, inventory, and/or other related items.
- Performs other similar duties as required.
