About The Position
We are conducting electric meter upgrades in the St. Albert, AB area for Fortis Alberta, and are hiring Full Time Temporary Electric Meter Installers! Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean criminal and driving history. NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you! Temporary position is expected to work until end of 2026.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean criminal and driving history
- Must be able to walk up to 5-10 km per day
- Must be able to complete a Readme test at 100%
- Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
- Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters

Responsibilities
- Installing single phase electric meters by replacing an existing meter (change-out).
- Installing the new meter and meter module to automate the process of reading a meter for accurate consumption and billing.
