About The Position

Meteorology is a core part of our product and customer experience, and we’re looking for a Meteorologist, Enterprise to help shape the future of our forecast offerings. You will provide specialized meteorological expertise and customized weather support for key enterprise customers. This role goes beyond standard operational forecasting by developing a deep understanding of customer operations, weather-related risks, and decision-making processes to deliver tailored meteorological guidance that helps customers make informed, timely decisions. Working closely with the Operational Meteorology team and customer-facing teams, the Enterprise Meteorologist serves as a trusted weather expert for assigned customers and complex meteorological needs. The role combines operational forecasting, customer communication, weather-risk analysis, and the development of customized meteorological solutions. Schedule : Friday–Monday | Four 10-hour shifts per week. This is a dedicated weekend meteorology position designed to provide consistent enterprise customer coverage across Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The position may require flexibility during significant or rapidly evolving weather events.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a closely related field.
6+ years of professional operational forecasting, or similar experience
Strong understanding of forecasting principles, radar and satellite interpretation, numerical weather prediction, and high-impact weather.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex meteorological information effectively to non-meteorologists.
Strong situational awareness and sound judgment during rapidly evolving weather events.
Ability to independently prioritize multiple customers and weather threats simultaneously.
Comfortable communicating directly with customers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work a consistent Friday–Monday, four 10-hour shift schedule.
Ability to collaborate effectively with both meteorological and non-meteorological teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing direct meteorological decision support to enterprise customers.
Experience supporting weather-sensitive industries such as energy, construction, utilities, transportation, education, sports, outdoor events, municipalities, or public safety.
Experience conducting live professional weather briefings.
Experience with impact-based forecasting and customer-specific weather thresholds.
Experience developing meteorological products, procedures, or workflows.

Responsibilities

Provide customized meteorological support for enterprise customers based on their operations, locations, weather sensitivities, and risk thresholds.
Develop a strong understanding of customer operations and translate weather information into clear, actionable guidance.
Monitor and forecast impactful weather affecting assigned customers: severe weather, lightning, extreme temperatures, winter weather, heavy precipitation, high winds, and tropical systems, communicating uncertainty, confidence, timing, and impacts.
Communicate proactively before and during significant weather events, and deliver customer-specific briefings through written forecasts, custom reports, meetings, and calls.
Serve as the subject-matter expert for complex or non-standard customer weather questions, and support post-event analysis and customer discussions.
Collaborate with Operational Meteorologists to keep enterprise and operational support consistent, and with Customer Success, Sales, and Product on meteorological solutions for customer needs.
Develop customized forecast products, briefings, and procedures for individual customers, and help onboard new enterprise accounts by identifying their weather risks and communication preferences.
Leverage and help build AI-powered tools to improve how the Enterprise Meteorology team works, and help shape our product so those capabilities reach customers directly.
Contribute to the continued development of the Enterprise Meteorology program.
