About The Position

This role is for a skilled craftsperson experienced in metal finishing, grinding, sanding, and operating precision equipment such as blast cabinets and ultrasonic cleaners. The position requires comfort in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, alternating between seated and standing positions, and handling materials up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards are essential, as the work directly impacts life-saving medical devices. The role involves mastering cutting-edge 3D printing post-processing techniques and contributing to healthcare innovation.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in metal finishing, grinding, and sanding.
  • Experience operating precision equipment like blast cabinets and ultrasonic cleaners.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to alternate between seated and standing positions.
  • Ability to handle materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to wear Full Face, Half Face, and/or Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (fit-testing provided during hiring and annually).
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Transform 3D-printed metal creations into polished, customer-ready products.
  • Finish titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum parts using advanced 3D printing post-processing techniques.
  • Operate precision equipment including grinders, sanders, blast cabinets, and ultrasonic cleaners.
  • Ensure products meet exacting quality standards.
  • Alternate between seated and standing positions during work.
  • Lift up to 50lbs and perform sustained physical tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
  • Collaborate with a team to solve challenges in 3D-printed healthcare solutions.
  • Work on export-controlled products from aerospace and defense customers.
