About The Position

The Metallurgist I conducts analysis of materials using a variety of analytical and testing methodologies. The role examines the structure, properties, and performance of materials using optical and electron microscopy and other laboratory instrumentation, and supports failure analysis investigations and materials characterization projects involving metals, coatings, and related material systems. The Metallurgist generates technical findings, interprets data, and prepares clear, concise customer reports. The position is with Miami Valley Materials Testing Center, an A2LA-accredited laboratory and Family Company of Applied Technical Services. The laboratory provides testing, analysis, and consultation services to automotive, aerospace, medical, and other industries. Work is performed mostly in a laboratory setting. The position is limited to U.S. Persons because it requires access to information subject to ITAR export controls.
