About The Position

Under close supervision, assists in providing technical support and advice in Metallurgical testing and analysis at assigned site. Assists in Metallurgical studies and conducting analyses. Prepares standard reports on Metallurgical or process issues and assists in recommending appropriate action to resolve or correct issues. Assists in reviewing new or enhanced Metallurgical testing equipment or protocols. Assists in evaluating and administering contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment. Develops and maintains an understanding of applicable programs, practices and existing/proposed local, State and Federal regulations applicable to area of assignment. Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry or related Engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of the basic principles and methods used in Metallurgical and processing analyses
  • Able to conduct research and analyze information or considerable difficulty to draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python
  • Experience with database management system such as SQL or similar platforms

Benefits

  • The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $75,000-$104,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
