About The Position

Advanced Heat Treat Corp has been in the Heat Treat Industry for over 40 years. This position is a regular, full-time role located at our Cullman, Alabama facility. The role involves splitting time between performing laboratory procedures related to heat treating processes and assisting in production as an operator. Employees will learn about metals, the effects of heat on metal, and the importance of quality in an essential, though little-known, industry. The company provides comprehensive training.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years equipment operation experience and/or two-year industrial tech degree.
• Ability to operate fork truck and overhead crane.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Reliable attendance, teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail are required.

Nice To Haves

• Technical degree or specific training with prior experience is preferred.
• Equipment operating/industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures related to heat treating processes in the laboratory.
• Assist in production as an operator.
• Cut parts for lab work.
• Operate lab equipment.
• Prepare samples and certifications.
• Verify lab testing equipment.
• Perform hardness inspections.
• Release parts.
• Setup and process parts for production.
• Inspect parts for production processes.
• Provide backup support to heat treat technicians using process instructions, work orders, and prints.
• Degrease, clean, and unload customer parts.
• Perform routine shop duties.
