About The Position

Advanced Heat Treat Corp has been in the Heat Treat Industry for over 40 years, improving parts for industries including aerospace, defense, firearms, automotive, construction, agriculture, energy, and medical. This role involves learning about metals, the effects of heat on metal, and the importance of quality in an essential but little-known industry. The company provides comprehensive training. This is a regular, full-time position at their Cullman, Alabama facility, splitting time between laboratory duties and production operations.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of equipment operation experience and/or a two-year industrial tech degree.
Ability to operate a fork truck and overhead crane.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Reliable attendance, teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail are required.
Strong computer skills are a must.

Nice To Haves

Technical degree or specific training with prior experience is preferred.
Equipment operating/industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform procedures related to heat treating processes in the laboratory.
Assist in production as an operator.
Cut parts for laboratory analysis.
Operate laboratory equipment.
Prepare samples and certifications.
Verify laboratory testing equipment.
Perform hardness inspections.
Release processed parts.
Set up equipment for production processes.
Process and inspect parts for production.
Provide backup support to heat treat technicians using process instructions, work orders, and prints.
Degrease, clean, and unload customer parts.
Perform routine shop duties.
