About The Position
Volt is immediately hiring for a Metallurgical Analyst (SEM Operator) in Mossville, IL. As a Metallurgical Analyst, you will operate a typical SEM, perform minor maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. You will disclose issues to SEM OEM Tech support and implement requested changes. Your role will involve providing high-resolution images of metallic specimens for failure analysis and process changes, as well as providing EDS analysis for a variety of specimens including failure analysis and debris. This is a Full-Time, Long-Term opportunity.
Requirements
- Experience using SEM
- Ability to collaborate well with customer and potentially train other operators
- Independent thinker, problem solver, shows initiative, asks questions
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, sciences
- Experience can be from schooling or on the job
- Formal SEM training program preferred
- Failure analysis experience is a plus
