About The Position

As an essential business, Anomatic produces innovative and sustainable packaging for today’s biggest brands. By leveraging over five decades of manufacturing expertise and employing an extensive technologies portfolio, we design, manufacture, and finish incomparable stock and customized solutions for numerous markets. This production floor position is responsible for leading daily operations of the metalizing process within the facility. Monitors all mechanical support in the metalizing process, including overall product consistency and quality. Leads the activities of other employees through technical knowledge and sound decision-making abilities to support product quality and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in industrial paint application or similar experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC’s and VFD controlled machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of 120VAC control circuits, 24VDC control circuit, Industrial Power 3 Phase 480V and industry accepted electrical safety practices for testing energized circuits.
  • Proficient in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
  • Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment-must have and maintain all hand and test tools required to maintain automated equipment.
  • Computer proficient-Microsoft Windows based computer operation.
  • Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice or on weekends
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Can successfully work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ABB/SEW and Mitsubishi drive technology a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manages mechanical installation on all Metallizing lines.
  • Prepares tooling according to the production schedule.
  • Performs machine changeovers from part-to-part/job-to-job and clear machine jams as needed.
  • Cleans machine as needed/perform preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots machine related mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, making adjustments where necessary.
  • Able to adjust and fabricate items needed to adapt material feeding systems, tracks, fixtures, and tooling to make a good product at designated rates.
  • Able to diagnose and repair electrical issues including sensors, relays, servo systems, motor controls, and PLCs.
  • Able to adjust robot positions, coordinate types, jog, and troubleshoot errors.
  • Manages mandrel cleaning operations.
  • Documents all changes made to machines, fixtures or tooling made through installation, debug or normal operation as required by Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Manages and maintains all spare parts inventory.
  • Documents equipment history through Syteline and PMxpert.
  • Leads day-to-day activities and communications of departmental production team.
  • Advises Line Operators on mechanical impacts to the process.
  • Partners with department leaders on tooling design approvals.
  • Trains and develops departmental team on machine cleaning, mechanical maintenance, and leads employees in Continuous Improvement Programs.
  • Leads Process Operation team when Process Engineering Technician is unavailable.
