About The Position

This role is categorized as onsite. The Role Responsibilities include initiating Fabrication Requests, forecasting and balancing workload, and providing technical direction to a team supporting the execution and build of Concept Vehicles and Design GVDP property deliverables, by project tracking, forecasting, and following properties through the various fabrication shops. Requirements

  • BBA or equivalent degree
  • 5 Years of combined experience in project management and fabrication
  • Experience in engineering, fabrication and build of Concept Vehicles, Exterior/Interior Design Properties and Proof of Concepts
  • Experienced in the design, engineering and construction of vehicle property builds
  • Knowledgeable of the GVDP math deliverable requirements and physical model content
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and personally perform tasks required for show vehicle fabrication, including trouble shooting builds and modifying build strategy in a fluid environment
  • Excellent technical breadth, organizational, administrative and leadership skills
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent administrative and technical abilities and exceptional ingenuity and problem-solving ability

Responsibilities

  • Initiating Fabrication Requests
  • Forecasting and balancing workload
  • Providing technical direction to a team supporting the execution and build of Concept Vehicles and Design GVDP property deliverables
  • Project tracking, forecasting, and following properties through the various fabrication shops
  • Strategize with Design and DCF Leadership to develop property plans that support the fabrication of GVDP properties and Concept Vehicles aligned with available resources
  • Execute and follow property plans for all major property builds, concept properties and fabrication requests
  • Work cross functionally with Design, Engineering, Assistant Fabrication Managers, Fabrication shops etc.
  • Provide status reviews to Leadership regarding timing, cost, and progress of various projects both verbally and through appropriate presentations
  • Handle an exceptionally high workload, while being very innovative and displaying outstanding initiative
  • Jointly lead daily operations meetings that include project scheduling and tracking, property build methods, expense forecasting and enterprise matters
