About The Position

The Metal Worker operates pneumatic and power hand tools, including rotary die grinders and handheld belt sanders, as well as buffing and polishing equipment to clean and smooth metal castings. The role removes or reduces parting lines, excess metal, scratches, burrs, and other defects according to engineering specifications and customer requirements. The employee may perform fluorescent penetrant inspection and visual inspection rework and repair, and operate a sandblast machine as needed. The role requires following supervisor and engineering instructions, checking requirements on the Inspection Methods Requirement Sheet (IMRS), and correctly documenting routers and rework routers.
