About The Position

Fabrication of metal structures by cutting, bending, and assembling processes. Ensure all safety practices are followed and look for continuous improvement. Use Ajax to size intermediate and finishing mills for setup. Keeping all stands (1-16) at the designed size. Maintain communication with mill adjust personnel to ensure the finished product is of prime quality. Maintain expected production rates. Inspection of new stands after installation in the mill to ensure proper set-up before rolling. Maintain constant axle temperatures by adjusting furnace temps when needed.

Requirements

• Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Check.
• Must pass a Math Test (Fractions and Measurement Test).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, walk, twist, lift, and turn.
• The constant dominant hand activity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to use hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving material.
• Strong verbal communication is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in manufacturing, metalworking and foundry is a plus.
