We are seeking a detail-oriented Metal Stamping Press & Shear Operator to join our team. This position is perfect for candidates with hands-on experience who enjoy working in a dynamic, manufacturing-based environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our parts meet strict quality standards. A Metal Stamping Press & Shear Operator in the Meadowlands Division is responsible for operating the stamping press and metal shear while ensuring customer parts are produced per order specifications. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and/or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic manufacturing blueprints, including dimensions, tolerances, and measurements, and apply basic math skills (fractions, decimals, and conversions) in a production setting.
  • Ability to become Tow Motor certified through IGS (valid driver’s license required).
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical/technical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift / move up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work safely with tools and equipment.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with stamping presses, shears, or metal fabrication equipment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Review routers, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to ensure that required materials have been pulled and setup for production.
  • Operate stamping press to produce parts within required specifications and tolerances.
  • Measure parts for conformance to specification.
  • Cut metal material using a Metal Shear.
  • Inspect parts as well as raw materials before, during, and after production runs; verify that materials are free of burrs.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, and perform basic preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify part accuracy.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
