Metal "Stamping Press" Operator-1st Shift
About The Position
NIC Global is hiring a Metal Stamping Press Operator to set up, adjust, and operate stamping press machines to produce parts according to specifications. The operator sets, aligns, and secures dies and sets ram strokes for punching, shearing, blanking, and forming operations. The role includes setting up progressive stamping tools, including the feeder, and performing general equipment maintenance. The operator works with minimal supervision and checks product quality as parts run. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for four 10-hour shifts per week. Additional hours are available on request.
Requirements
- Follow work practices and safety guidelines and regulations.
- Pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodations.
- Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate stamping press machines to produce parts in accordance with specifications.
- Set, align, and secure dies and set ram strokes for punching, shearing, blanking, and forming operations.
- Set up progressive stamping tools, including the feeder.
- Perform general maintenance of equipment.
- Check parts for quality as they run and measure them with calipers and other gauges.
- Follow work practices and safety guidelines and regulations.
